EXPERIENCE
GUILDFORD
Something
special
Biddles of Guildford
Ben’s Collectors Records
In 1885, Charles and Leonard Biddle
opened a small printing business on the
corner of Martyr Road and Haydon Place.
There they offered a range of products
aimed at retailers, printed brown bags
for grocers, meat tickets for butchers and
billheads for shop keepers.
Next time you are in Guildford don’t forget to visit
Ben’s Collectors Records at 5 Tunsgate
(opposite the Ivy Asia).
After 140 years the current Biddles of
Guildford is located in Ward Street, only
50 yards away from the original store.
Follow Ben’s on social media for daily stock updates. @benscollectorsrecords. If you
have any unwanted discs please drop them off for a quote or call Ben on 01483 301165.
The Ward Street shop has evolved to
supply popular stationery items, printer
inks and office furniture. The range was
extended in 2022, when they introduced
art materials.
The Bear Garden
Ben’s specialises in reasonably priced records, CDs, Cassettes
and DVD’s and has been trading from the current location opposite
the Castle Grounds since 1993. There’s an ever changing stock of old and
new records to suit all musical tastes.
Now Biddles has added a new pen
recycling box, which compliments their
successful in-store printer cartridge
recycling scheme.
Tucked away on Jeffries Passage, you will find one of the
world’s leading specialist teddy bear and soft toy shops.
The Bear Garden celebrates 33 years in 2025! From worldfamous teddy bear manufacturer Steiff to the pure joy of
Jellycat, you will find something that appeals to everyone!
If you are looking for great value
stationery, office furniture and art
supplies, they are well worth a visit.
If you can’t make it to this award-winning shop, then go
to their incredible website www.beargarden.co.uk, which
features their entire range.
