Soulspace
Set beside the River Wey, Soulspace at The
Boathouse is a family-run, independent coworking
space, event venue, cafe and terrace. The spaces are
thoughtfully designed with nature-inspired interiors centred
around gathering, creativity and community.
A variety of people work from its light-filled spaces or host
clients in beautifully designed Gathering Rooms, while the
venue also welcomes corporate away days, workshops,
celebrations and weddings. With its nourishing interiors
and atmosphere, Soulspace has quickly become a hub for
Guildford’s creative and professional community and for
anyone who enjoys spending time by the river.
The Boathouse Cafe is open to everyone, offering coffee,
pastries and relaxed catch-ups with friends or colleagues.
Soulspace is open Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm, with The
Boathouse Cafe open 9am–3pm.

The Star Inn
For over 400 years, The Star Inn has welcomed Guildford locals and
visitors, offering great food, drink and entertainment. This historic
listed building has remained largely unchanged, holding countless
memories from years gone by, including the iconic first gig of
The Stranglers.
To this day, The Backroom – the pub’s dedicated event space –
continues to host travelling musicians, proving that grassroots
music venues are still very much alive. In partnership with Guildford
Fringe, The Star Inn also brings regular comedy nights and a festive
adults-only panto each year.
Alongside its vibrant events programme, the pub offers a wide
selection of drinks to suit all tastes, paired with a classic pub menu
that creates the perfect setting for a relaxed and social experience.
